Updates Unveiled: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Unleashes New Features

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central has just undergone a significant update, and we can’t wait to tell you all about the fantastic features that come with it.

Disconnected Posting Date and Document Date 

One of the standout features introduced in this update is the ability to disconnect the Posting Date and Document Date on document headers. This newfound flexibility opens up a realm of possibilities for users. Streamlined Document Navigation 

Navigating through sales, purchase, and service orders and returns has never been smoother. Now, these documents are seamlessly linked to posted shipments, receipts, invoices, and credit memos. This enhancement ensures quick access to associated documents directly from an order or return.

Enhanced Personalisation Options 

Understanding that each business and user has unique needs, the personalisation options in Business Central have received a significant upgrade. You can now tailor the information on pages with more power than ever before, simply by dragging fields or columns. In response to community feedback, the ‘Description 2’ field is now available for personalisation on more pages. Learn all about it here

While we’re excited about these new features, we also want to ensure you are aware of some minor changes that might impact your usage: 

VAT Settlement Process Update 

When creating your VAT settlement after submitting a VAT return, please note that you now need to click "Print" instead of "Preview" to ensure the report is saved as it is posted. 

Search Bar Text Entry Delay 

We are aware of an issue causing delays in text entry within various parts of Business Central. Rest assured, Microsoft is actively working on a fix. In the meantime, if you experience missing characters, please re-enter the search text as a temporary workaround.
